I have never been / good at disassociating sometimes I forget how to see / the beauty that is everywhere I climb loose mountains / trepan dark forests / carbon pearls burnt nights I think: “sweetness is a pair / of lips and a marble statue” sometimes / I’m a romantic long for simplicity long for intelligence human condition— pair of trees / twisting together and suffocating mutual—roots / all tangled if one dies… it’s a shame / really sometimes so easy to forget / everything codependent xylem scrape my chest on rocks / the nerve I have to curse the blooming rhododendron I am lost
Truly gorgeous drivel. I will have more
Thanks Lewis! I appreciate you.
